Fasting Tracker

An intermittent fasting tracker that starts on schedule

Balnc’s fasting tracker times your fast with presets for 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, 24, 36, 48 and 72 hours, or any custom length up to 168 hours. Choose the days you fast and a start time, and Balnc starts each fast automatically in your time zone and ends it when you reach your target.

Which fasting schedules does Balnc support?

Pick a preset or set your own length. If you are new to fasting, our guide to intermittent fasting windows compares the common schedules and what the research says about them.

How does automatic fasting work?

Choose which days of the week you fast and set one start and end time for them. Balnc checks every hour and starts your fast at the right moment in your own time zone, then ends it automatically once you hit your target, so you never have to remember to press start.

What can I log during a fast?

Rate your mood, hunger and energy from 1 to 5 and add notes. Over time these check-ins show how different fast lengths actually feel for you.

How does fasting connect to the rest of Balnc?

Fasting makes up 15% of your daily health score, and the AI coach sees your schedule, the fast in progress and your completion rate for the past week. The fasting tracker is part of the Pro plan.

Common questions

Can I set different fasting times for different days?

Not yet. You choose which days of the week you fast, and one start and end time applies to all of them. You can still start or end any individual fast manually.

Does Balnc support the 5:2 diet?

Not currently. Balnc focuses on time-restricted eating schedules such as 16:8, 18:6 and 20:4, plus extended fasts of 24 to 72 hours and custom lengths up to 168 hours.

Is intermittent fasting safe for everyone?

No. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, teenagers, people with a history of eating disorders, and people with diabetes or other medical conditions should talk to a doctor first. Our fasting windows guide lists who should avoid fasting and why.
